2020 has been tough and lonely but art has been my rock. Covid time is elastic – days stretch to infinity yet weeks snap by at speed. I do a piece of art each day, usually trees, people or mountains, but I cannot put them in sequence as life this year has shrunk to TODAY, YESTERDAY and HISTORY.

Art is what defines me
It feeds
It pushes back the darkness
It excites.
Portraits, figures, trees are my passion
Oils and pastels rule
All else can drop away
When art is gone, my life is closed.
