GoFigure - Pop Up Life Penrith (PULP) Sessions

PULP is part of the GoFigure Group and are all day life drawing events for artists to undertake drawing/painting from life.

Initial warm up poses are followed by a single pose, starting at 10:50 and lasting for the rest of the day. This enables artists to undertake an in-depth study from life, or for those artists wishing to do more than one piece, moving around the model is encouraged. The number of attendees at each session is limited to 16. This enables everyone to have adequate views of the model.
Venue - Stainton Village Hall - CA11 0EP

Parking is tight and it maybe that those attending will have to park in tandem in the village hall car park or park on the road.
As of 16th March '26 the spaces left on PULP sessions are as follows, more sessions have been arranged for Autumn 2026 :

To reserve your place prepayment fees are needed in advance on booking. Fees are £22 per day in cash, brought to the GoFigure Friday sessions at Keswick Rugby Club, or by BACS, details of payment by BACS as advised by email enquiries to 4GoFigure@gmail.com

In order that costs are kept as low as possible, fees will need to be paid in advance and attendees will be encouraged to book a number of events in advance. This advance booking will allow clarity in respect of numbers attending, so that models and venues can be booked with certainty. To make the events viable, once a booking has been confirmed, a refund would not normally be considered.

General information

Artists - please bring all your own equipment, in particular a covering to protect the village hall floor, especially for paint, pastel and charcoal art (dust sneaks between floorboards). No easels/tables are provided. As turpentine is both a health and fire risk oil painters are asked not to bring such solvents. Pastel fixative is also a health risk, users are required to fix their work outside the venue.

Tea and coffee will be provided, please bring your lunch and alternative drinks. There is a kitchen which artists may use. The village shop is opposite the village hall and Reghed shop and cafe with sandwiches etc are a mile down the road, Penrith about 3 miles.
